Magdlene “Maggie” Kelley Marsh of Samson passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 88.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Allen Marsh and Rev. Joe Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Maggie was born in Coffee Co., AL on March 12, 1935, to the late Preston D., Sr. and Connie Lee Hicks Kelley. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and providing a good meal for her family. She along with her husband owned and operated Marsh Gas and Grocery in Sellersville, AL for several years. She was a hard worker and will be known for her love of walking. There is no way of knowing the miles she has walked around Sellersville, AL. She will be missed by those who knew her and loved her most.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Truitt Marsh, two brothers, Preston Kelley, Jr. and Quinon Kelley; two sisters, Jean Prescott and Jeanette Boswell.

Mrs. Maggie is survived by one son, Larry B. Marsh (Rita) and one daughter, Lisa Ward (Joe), all of Samson, AL; grandchildren, Erica Adams (Jason) of Troy, AL, Allen Marsh (Andrea) of Geneva, AL, Kasey Dalrymple of Enterprise, Al, Kelley Marler (Walt) of Dothan, AL, and Aaron Ward of Troy, AL; great grandchildren, Emilie, Logan and Raegan Adams, Cierra, Davida and Austin Marsh, Colson, Conner and Ella Dalrymple, Maebry and Maggie Marler; and one sister-in-law, June Kelley of Elba, AL; a number of special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Walt Marler, Jason Adams, Logan Adams, Colson Dalrymple, Conner Dalrymple and Aaron Ward.
