Margaret Pauline Pippin of Geneva passed away at Wiregrass Nursing Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015.  She died just nine days shy of her 100th birthday.  A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Kathy Stumbaugh officiating.   Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from Noon until 2:00 p.m. 


Mrs. Pippin was born in Dale County on Valentines Day in 1915.    Prior to her retirement she was employed by J.C. Penny & Company for many years.  Her parents, Harvey and Callie Andrews Cain; husband, Emmitt P. Pippin; son, Richard Talmadge Pippin; and all of her siblings preceded her in death.


She is survived by her son, Earl Pippin and wife, Betty of Valdosta, Ga.; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cora Pippin; two sisters-in-law, Doris Pippin and Betty Pippin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
