Margarette Lewis age 91, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Elba. Funeral services will be held at Westside Baptist Church on Saturday, January 29, 2022 beginning at 2:00 PM with her son, Stan Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Westside Baptist Church on Saturday, January 29th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family request those attending the services, to exercise social distancing and the use of mask.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by Daughter - Kay Farris, Elba, AL, Daughter - Jama (Steve) Walker, Brantley, AL, Son - Stan (Marcia) Lewis, Mobile, AL, Son - Mike (Susan) Lewis, Luverne, AL, along with Granddaughter - Brandee Abramson, Woodstock, GA, Granddaughter - Tiffany Bryan, Andalusia, AL, Granddaughter - Amy Douglas, Spanish Fort, AL, Granddaughter - Brittany Green, Brantley, AL, Grandson - Stephen Walker, Brantley, AL, Grandson - Luke Lewis, Houston, TX, Grandson - Jake Lewis, Tuscaloosa, AL, Granddaughter - Adison Lewis, Luverne, AL. She also leaves behind Brother - Fox Maulden, The Villages, FL, Sister - Frances Evans, Orlando, FL, Sister - Evelyn Milam, Casselberry, FL, Sister - Jesse Lewis, Elba, AL, and Sister - Jo Ann Reeves of Babson Park, FL, along with nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Lewis, Jr., by her parents, Murphy and Dain Maulden, along with siblings, Wayne Maulden, Pauline Hasty, and Carol Gavin.
