Margie Macon age 80, a resident of Elba, Alabama gained her eternal reward Monday, November 6, 2023 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 9th, beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Sam Self officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 8, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Margie will be missed by those who knew and loved her. She was instrumental in shaping the lives of numerous children she kept in her home over the years and created lifelong bonds with them in which she cherished. She will be remembered as an excellent cook, and for the passion she had for caring for her flowers. Most importantly, she will be remembered as a devout Christian. She loved her Lord and Savior and faithfully served as long as her health permitted.
She leaves behind her husband, James E. "Jimmy" Macon, of Elba, AL, daughter, Lisa Macon, Elba, AL, son, Darron (Connie) Macon, Enterprise, AL, granddaughter, Bethany Macon, Enterprise, AL, and a grandson Tanner Macon of Enterprise, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents Enoch Seigle & Eula Pearl Farmer, brother, Clifford Farmer; brother, James W. Farmer, along with sisters, Louise Knighten, and Eugenia Parker.
