MARIDELL RITCH PERKINS

DOTHAN, AL…Maridell Ritch Perkins, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Monday night, March 13, 2023, at Westside Terrace.  She was 82.

            Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 17, 2023, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church – Headland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made in Mrs. Perkins honor to the Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

            Mrs. Perkins was born in Headland, Alabama to the late Ernest Ray Ritch and Ruth Garner Ritch. She was a 1959 graduate of Headland High School and attended Wallace Community College of Nursing.

            Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Edward Perkins; her grandparents, K.T. and Della Garner; and her sister, Sharlene Messer.

            Leaving to cherish her memories are her daughters, Angie Chase Love, Kim Hall (Tony), and Gwen Rousseau (Jade); her sons, John Faison and Justin Ritch Perkins (Nikki); her brother, Jim Ritch; her grandchildren, Ashlea Love, Alex Faison, Morgan Love Ellis (Walt), Tyndal Hall, Tyler Herrington (Trisha), Trevor Perkins (Hunter), and Evan Rousseau-Araiza; her great-grandchildren, Gunner Faison, Mary Chase Ellis, William Ellis, Watson Ellis, Granger Herrington, Porter Herrington, and Ryker Schneider; her numerous nieces and nephews; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Perkins Family
