Marie Adele “Dell” Goffinet Heath, beloved wife of Oliver N. Heath, Sr., was born on December 14, 1922 and died on April 12, 2022. 

After having been a long-time homemaker, Mrs. Heath graduated from Enterprise State Junior College and Troy State University, where she was awarded Magna Cum Laude.  She then taught second grade at Holly Hill Elementary School for 12 years.  

She was an active member of the Lydia Sunday School Class and Keen-Agers of First Baptist Church. 

Funeral services will be at Sorrell Funeral Home at 4550 Boll Weevil Circle, Enterprise, Ala., on April 23, 2022.  Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Keith Currie will be officiating.  Interment will be at Meadowlawn Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the funeral.

Mrs. Heath is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years, Oliver N. Heath, Sr., and her son Thomas Alan Heath.   

She is survived by her son, Oliver (Mary Louise) N. Heath, Jr., Mobile, Ala. and daughter, Jane (Del) Alley of Apex, North Carolina.   

Also surviving are grandchildren David Heath, Houston, TX; Ezra (Deana) Heath, Birmingham, AL; Micah (Liza) Heath, Mobile, AL; Lydia (Christian) Sandberg, Kodiak, AK; Timothy (Katherine) Heath, Mobile, AL; Laura (Daniel) Kirk, Dallas, TX; and Meredith (John) Kopp, Philadelphia, PA; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
