Marie Brown Hatcher of Geneva passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.  She was 91.  A graveside service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sam Totten officiating and Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 4:00 p.m.


 Mrs. Hatcher was born in Winter Garden, FL on August 5, 1921 to the late Columbus Milton Brown and Ada Quigley Brown.  She was a graduate of Geneva High School and Riley Business Hospital.  Mrs. Hatcher proudly served her country as a nurse in the US Navy during WWII.  She was the last of her generation, having been preceded in death by all thirteen of her siblings and her husband, Woodrow Hatcher.




She is survived by two daughters, Jeanie Neil of Lenoir City, TN; Delores Smith (Jamsey) of Geneva; four grandchildren, Micah Neil (Dedria), Elisha Neil, Jason Baselice (Stephanie) and Leah Holder; and five great-grandchildren, Zach and Noah Neil, Madeleine and Jackson Baselice and Grant Holder.
