            Marie Butler of Slocomb, AL passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Medical Center Enterprise.  She was 86.

 

            Funeral services will be at 2 pm Monday, June 25 at Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb with Reverend Dickey McAllister officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Teamon Baptist Church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 noon until 2 pm.

 

            Mrs. Butler was born May 30, 1925 in Geneva County, AL to the late Pearman and Alma Toole Thomley.  She was a member of New Teamon Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Doyle Butler and Michael Butler.

 

            Survivors include her husband, John Butler, Slocomb, AL; two daughters: Paula Cotton (Ronnie), Jack, AL, Sharon Williams (Steve), Phenix City, AL; 7 grandchildren: Scotty Butler, Travis Butler, Shann Bright, Alisha McLendon, Adrianne Smith, April Taylor, Jason Walker; 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
