Marie Victoria Prescott of Hartford passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020, due to injuries sustained in a traffic accident. She was 48.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Mitch Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Travelers Rest Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Marie was born in Geneva, AL on September 10, 1972, to Marvin and Betty Forthman.  She worked as a CNA at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, FL.  She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Marie dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin M. Prescott of Hartford; daughter, Allison Hendrix (Adam); son, Nicholas Prescott; three grandchildren, Aaralyn Redding, Alton Redding, and Amzy Hendrix, all of Graceville, FL; parents, Marvin and Betty Forthman of Noma, FL; and two sisters, Theresa Forehand of Graceville, and Tammy Goff of Bonifay, FL.
