Marion Patterson Huff, 71,  of Dothan, went to be with the Lord June 10, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bob Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday.  Flowers will be accepted.

Marion was born to the late Preston and Elizabeth Patterson in 1947. She was the fifth of six children; Bill, Bud, Tommy, and surviving Charlotte Reeves (Mack) and Sandy Chalfant (Shay). As a child, she enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and water skiing on Lake Guntersville.

She married her beloved husband, Scott, in November of 1969. Together, they raised children, Kelley Stewart (James) and Jeff Huff (Tami). Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Brittney Patton (Ryan), Zack Stewart and Brandon Huff. Marion was a devoted member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

All who knew Marion remember her for her generosity, loving and caring nature as well as her spunky, infectious laugh. She loved volunteering her time tutoring her “Kinder Grandkids” at Highlands Elementary.

Additional family members, dear to her heart, include several nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be: Zack Stewart, Brandon Huff, Ryan Patton, Kyle Voss, Shay Chalfant and Larry Dungan. Honorary pallbearers include members of Ridgecrest Junior Senior (Adult 7-A) Sunday School Class.
