Martha Jean Jackson

Martha Jean Jackson, age 91 of Dothan, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Southeast Health, following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson will be held at 2pm Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in the Family First Funeral Care chapel with Chaplain John Gormley officiating. A private burial will take place at Memory Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association @ 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL, 60601.

Mrs. Jackson was born March 11, 1930 in Houston County to the late Carnell and Flora Mae Cook Bruce. She was raised in Crenshaw County and spent her adult life in Dothan, Alabama.  She was a member of Cloverdale Methodist church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackson is preceded in death by a brother, Jim Bruce. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband of 74 years, Ronald Eugene “Gene” Jackson of Dothan, as well as a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Lynn Jackson, also of Dothan.
