Martha Nell Shearer Wells was born September 11, 1924 in Quitman, GA, to Shelley Palmer Shearer and Ila Willaford Shearer. She married William Berry Wells on February 8, 1943. She passed away in Dothan, AL May 27, 2013.  She was 88.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM on Wednesday.

She is preceded in death by Bill Wells, Sr. (“her feller”) and Agnes Shearer O’Neal, her sister.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Wells Miller (Lee),Frankston, TX; son, William Berry Wells, Jr. (LaShon), Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Shannon Miller Hutchins (Steve), Fayetteville, GA, Peyton Miller Spence (Heath), Victoria, TX, Alexa Wells McGhee (Chris), Sherwood, AR, Jared Wells (Carrie), Columbus, GA, and Cade Wells (Heather), Dothan, AL; and eleven great-grandchildren.
