Martha W. Jones, 91, of Dothan, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Monday, July 1, 2019. She was born on March 9, 1928 in Pike County, Alabama to the late Charles Warren and Mamie Warren (McCormick).


Funeral Services 2 PM, Friday, July 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Dothan with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory; Dr. Johnny Fain and Reverend Robert Gross will be officiating.


Martha was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed cooking at home and preparing food for those in need. She was a Christian lady who was actively involved at First Baptist Church until her health declined. She retired after 28 years as a schoolteacher.


Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: John W. Jones, sisters: Julia Williams and Mary Flowers, brother: Joseph Warren and a grandson: Matthew Parsons.


Survivors include her children: Michael (Sharon) Jones, and Mona (Howard) Parsons, sister: Margaret Phipps, brother: Charles (Sandra) Warren, grandsons: John (Tracie) Parsons, Daniel (Jenny) Jones and Mark Parsons, five great-grandchildren.


Memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church of Dothan Missions Fund or Kindred Hospice.
