Marthe Anne Marie Hirsch, age 88, of Daleville, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Daleville Chapel.  Burial will follow in Daleville Memorial Gardens with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to SOS Animal Shelter, 25944 Highway 134, Enterprise, AL 36330 or Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, 579 Bivins Drive, Ozark, AL 36360.

Marthe was a survivor of the German Occupation of France in WWII.  After the war, she met and married her husband, Carl.  Mom and Dad traveled the world together, raised children and had a lifetime of memories.  Marthe lived for 60 years in Daleville in the same house that she loved.  She raised her children there and was proud of the adults they became and the lives they all have.  She was the proud Matriarch of her growing legacy.  Marthe dearly loved her friends and was an avid animal advocate.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl; son, Daniel; parents, Berthe and Jules Eilrich; and two brothers, Jean Claude Eilrich and Fernand Eilrich.

Survivors include her daughter, Tanya Amirault (Brian), Anchorage, AK; four sons, Johnny Hirsch, Daleville, AL; Michael Hirsch (Kim), Ozark, AL; Patrick Hirsch (Kristina), Locust Grove, GA; Scott Hirsch (Patricia), Panama City, FL; twelve grandchildren; nine and a half great-grandchildren.
