Marvin M. Ishler, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. He was 77.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 via zoom with Tom Littleton officiating. The family will visit friends following the service via zoom. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovah’s Witnesses at www.jw.org.

Marvin was born October 14, 1943 in Blue Springs, Alabama to Domer Marvin and Lela Walker Ishler. He grew up in Pennsylvania, Ozark, and Dothan eventually graduating from Dothan High School in 1961. He, along with his father, owned and operated Ishler’s Mobile Homes Sales for a number of years and later owned and operated Ishler’s Mobile Home Park in Daleville. In 1984, he moved his family from Ozark to Dothan and established Odyssey Tours and Travel which continues to successfully operate today. Marvin was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at an early age and faithfully attended the Dothan West Congregation for over 35 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, Domer Marvin and Lela Ishler.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Myra Chaney Ishler of Dothan; three daughters, Carmen Valley and her husband Kurt of Dothan, Jennifer Noojin and her husband Judge Bert Noojin of Ft. Morgan and Jessica Davis and her husband Tim of Dothan; grandchildren, Tyler Valley, Meghan Burr and husband Jobias, Hunter Adams, Haiden Adams and wife, Hannah and Marcus Gould; a great granddaughter, Ellie Burr; a brother, Domer Ishler and wife, Kim of Huntsville; a niece, Toracey Lea and a nephew, Brett Ishler.
