MIDLAND CITY . . .Marvin Windham, a resident of Dale County, between Headland & Echo, died early Wednesday morning, February 2, 2022, at his home. He was 90.


  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, February 4, 2022, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Stephen Windham officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.


  Mr. Windham was born and reared in Dale County, son of the late Gillis Windham and Daisy Sanders Windham. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Windham was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Community Church in Dothan. He was formerly employed by Dolly Madison Industries  in Napier Field and also WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. Mr. Windham was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosie Windham, a daughter, Linda Richards, a grandson, Lee Wilkerson, two sisters, Bobbie Ruth Windham and Mary Ellen Roberts and three brothers, Benny Windham, Junior Windham and Raphel Windham.


  Surviving relatives include his wife, Joan Peters Windham, a daughter, Fran Cook (Matt), Dothan; two sisters, Jewell Harrison, Lake Wales, FL and Lenora Turner, Midland City; two brothers, Bascom Windham (Pat), and Harvey Windham (Mary), all of Midland City; two grandchildren, Roxie Johnson (Walt) and Zoe Cook;  several great-grandchildren.
