Mary Alice Justice of Hartford passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.  She was 92.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the Pondtown United Methodist Church with Pastor Donna Cumbie officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Geneva directing. Mrs. Justice will lie in state at the church Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pondtown United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 663 Pondtown Road, Hartford, AL 36344.

Mary Alice was born in Hartford on October 30, 1921 to the late R.V. and Juanita Kelly Justice.  Prior to her retirement she worked at Phillips-Van Heusen for many years.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Justice and Jim Frank Justice; and her sister, Irene Lassiter.

She is survived by two nephews, James Justice and wife, Martha of Hartford and Chris Lassiter of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; niece, Kathy Gentile of Oregon; and sister-in-law, Pat Justice of San Diego, Calif.
