Mary Catherine Johnson Lett of Hartford, AL passed away on Saturday, February 03, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Revs. Dennis Morgan, Cliff Foster and Roger Davis officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Geneva Holiness Church or to Lower Lights Prison Ministry in Sister Lett’s memory.

Mrs. Lett was born in Itta Bena, MS on July 07, 1934, to the late Walter Samuel and Viola Carroll Johnson. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Geneva Holiness Church, formerly known as Geneva Church of God. She served as pastor’s wife at various churches for over 40 years alongside her husband, Rev. Paul Lett. Sister Lett was faithful to her church and to her Lord and Savior. She was well known for checking on her friends and neighbors, especially if you missed church. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul Lett; four brothers, Walter Samuel Johnson, Jr., Billy Johnson, James C. Johnson and Eugene Johnson and one sister, Mae Youngblood.

She is survived by two daughters, Angie Morgan (Dennis) of Dublin, GA and Pam Hall (Steve) of Hartford, AL; one granddaughter, Ashley Newton (David) of Jacksonville, AL; one great grandson, Colton Newton of Jacksonville, AL; one brother, Jimmy Allen Johnson (Joyce) of Vicksburg, MS and a number of special nieces and nephews.
