MARY CHARLOTTE BELL DAVIS


OZARK… Mary Charlotte Bell Davis, a resident of Ozark, Alabama, passed away Thursday morning, April 4, 2024, at the home of her granddaughter. She was 77.


          Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Skipperville Methodist Church with Pastor Gail Joyner and Dr. Billy Gaither officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.


          In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Skipperville Methodist Church Children & Youth Programs, 5189 Hwy 105, Skipperville, Alabama 36374.


          Mrs. Davis was born in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Braxton Brown Bell, Sr. and Jonnie Mae Mathison Bell. She had previously lived in Germantown, Tennessee until moving back to Skipperville, Alabama about twenty-five years ago. She was retired as a graphic designer. She was a member of the Skipperville Methodist Church.


          Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Goodwin Davis; her daughter, Tammy Bell Allison; her son, Thomas Lee Allison; and her brothers, John Earle Bell, David Bell, and Tommy Bell.


          Leaving to cherish her memories are her grandchildren, Megan Ashby Stepp (Nathan), Ivy Lauren Grooms, and Jonnie Bell Grooms; her step-daughter, Lisa Kness (Rocky); her brothers, Braxton Bell (Mae Ola), Frankie Bell (Pinky), and Charlie Bell; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa Taylor Stepp, Jayde Nicole Stepp, and Jaxon Ray Stepp; and her several nieces and nephews.


          Serving as active pallbearers will be John Bell, Jason Bell, Nathan Stepp, Larry Baker, Bill Baker, and James Phillips.


          The family wanted to extend a heartfelt thanks to Community Hospice, Skipperville Methodist Church, and the Bass family for their outpouring love and support through this difficult time.
