Mary Elizabeth Etheridge, a resident of Blakely, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019. She was 87.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, July 1, 2019 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Rich officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10-11 am.

Mrs. Etheridge was born on October 10, 1931 in Houston County and lived the early years of her life in the Rehobeth area. Mrs. Etheridge was employed with Vogue Dress Shop in Northside Mall and with Florida Microfilm until her retirement in 2000. Mrs. Etheridge will be best remembered for being tender hearted, soft spoken, and loving to everyone she met. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Etheridge was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Samuel Etheridge.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Brian) Williams; her grandchildren, Jennifer Evans, Samantha Evans, Malachi Ray, and Emerson Attaway; her sister-in-law, Jackie Turner; and several nieces and nephews.
