HEADLAND. . .Mary Frances Turner Wright, a resident of Headland, died Sunday afternoon, July 21, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. She was 80.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ricky Sowell officiating and a eulogy to be given by Doug Wright. Bural will follow in the Hutto Cemetery, near Abbeville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Abbeville.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Safe Haven Animal Rescue Kennells (S.H.A.R.K.), P.O. Box 126, Abbeville, AL 36310.

     Ms. Wright was born and reared in Henry County, daughter of the late R. J. Turner and Lillie Smith Turner. She  lived in Kentucky and Abbeville before moving to Headland in 2018. Ms. Wright was formerly employed by Teledyne in Abbeville and Clark Equipment Company in Georgetown, KY. She was a member of the CalvaryBaptist Church. Ms. Wright was preceded in death by a granddaughter-in-law, Nicole Baldwin.

     Surviving relatives include two daughters, Darlene Gibson (Vincent), Cynthiana, KY and Jackie Baldwin, Headland; two sons, Allan Wright (Helen), Newville and Doug Wright (Mandy), Abbeville; a brother, Jimmy Turner, Abbeville; seven grandchildren, McKenna Gibson (Josh), Joshua Baldwin (Aimee), Matt Baldwin (Barbara), Tyler Wright, Jimmy Wright, Seth Wright and Shelby Wright; three great-grandchildren, Tucker Baldwin, Vincent Beckley and Clayton Wright; “special sisters”, Fay Turner and Hazel Campbell; special canine friend “Miss Lillie”; several nieces and nephews.
