Mary H. Burns of Geneva, AL passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was 79 years old.
A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing.
Mary was born in Delaware, Ohio on January 10, 1941 to the late Cecil Marion and Glena Carter Hughes. Mary attended Harrisburg School of Bible and also Central Jersey Bible Institute. She enjoyed writing, reading, and teaching. She taught lady bible classes in multiple churches that she and her husband attended.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Douglas Hughes.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, G.W. Burns of Geneva, AL; two daughters, Shannon Burns of Lemoyne, PA, and Leah Burns of Raleigh, NC; and Joyce Shelburne who was like a daughter of Grover, PA.
