Mrs. Mary Jewell Urquhart, age 74, of Bonifay, Florida passed away May 14, 2022, at her home.  She was born March 2, 1948, in Geneva, Alabama to the late William Jeard Gibson and Irene Trim Gibson.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Urquhart was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Urquhart, Jr., one son, Travis Urquhart, four brothers, O’Neil Gibson, Danny Ray Gibson, Billy Ray Gibson, and Edward Gibson, and one sister, Juanita Clark.

Mrs. Urquhart is survived by one son, Kelley Urquhart and wife Crystal of Hartford, AL; three grandchildren, Raven Jane Urquhart of Hartford, AL, Ian Urquhart of Hartford, AL, and Jessica Bowser of Bonifay, FL; four great-grandchildren, Darcy Booth, Sparrow Booth, Shyloh Bowser, and Alex Bowser; two brothers, Jerry Gibson and wife Darlene of Bonifay, FL and Jimmy Gibson of Hartford, AL; one sister, Julie Searle of Oklahoma City, OK; special cousin, Darrell Cheson; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 20, 2022, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at Peel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Covenant Hospice, 4540 Lafayette Street Suite G, Marianna, FL 32446.  The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice for all their care and support given to Mrs. Urquhart and her family.
