Mary Sue Wyatt, a resident of Dothan, AL, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at a local hospital. She was 68 years old.


Mary was born on July 28, 1953 in Andalusia, AL to P.W. and Loraine Goodson. She was a graduate of Andalusia High School class of 1971. Following high school, Mary attended MacArthur Community College and completed her associates degree in computer programming. She was a substitute teacher for Dothan City Schools before becoming a supervisor at the Houston County DMV for 8 years. Even with many years of work, her greatest joys were being a faithful wife and loving mother. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, traveling to the Smoky Mountains and gardening.


She was preceded in death by her parents.


Survivors include her loving husband of almost 48 years, Ron Wyatt; her children, Jason (Joni) Wyatt and Heather (Scott) Shimabukuro; grandchildren, Brody Wyatt, Maddie Kennedy, Caden, Wyatt and Anabelle Shimabukuro; siblings, Ray Goodson, Patsy (Charlie) Pilcher and Jean Worthington; and several nieces and nephews.
