Matthew Garrett Caron, 28 of Savannah, Georgia died Sunday, March 15, 2015.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Monday, March 30, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Hill officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Matthew was born March 15, 1987 in California. He resided the early years of his life in Dale County. Matthew was a 2005 graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark where he was a very active participant in the Carroll High Rifle Team. At the time of his death, he was serving in the United States Army and was stationed in Savannah, Georgia.

Survivors include his daughter, Miley Caron; his father, Gary Caron; his mother, Donna (Dennis) Gudger; his sisters, Deanna Gudger, Sarah Dover and Natasha Uchino; several nieces and nephews.
