Mrs. Mattie Benton, age 94 of Dothan (formerly of Douglas, Georgia) passed away Monday morning, June 29, 2020 at Extendicare Nursing Care, following an extended illness.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from noon until 2pm at Family First Funeral Care. On Thursday, July 2, 2020, the family will receive friends from noon until 1pm (EST) at Ricketson Funeral Home, 305 W. Ward St., Douglas, GA, with a graveside to follow at 1:30pm (EST) in the Douglas (Georgia) City Cemetery, under the direction of Ricketson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Benton is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy (Travis) Adkison of Dothan; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry (Debra) Benton of Glennville, GA; three grandchildren, Leslie (Dwight) Standridge, April Adams and Trent (Robin) Adkison; two great-granddaughters, Abra Adams and Dalice Adkison. In addition, Mrs. Benton is survived by several sisters, a brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
