Mrs. Mavis Lidell Hobbs Sellers of Black, AL passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at her home. She was 61.

Mavis was born on April 15, 1962 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to the late Jimmy and Linda Ann Whitehead Hobbs. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved to dance, having a good time with family and friends, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed by those that loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Darlene Hobbs.

Mavis is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, John Sellers; three daughters, Sandra Nicole Newell (Kris), Samantha Benefield (Terry) and Reeva Gibson (Chad); one son, Joshua Sellers; six grandchildren, Brittney, Aurora, Alyssa, Damian, Reba and Krystal; and one brother, Charles Hobbs (Destiny).
