Mrs. Melba Armstrong Peak of Chancellor went home to be with her Lord, Friday, August 25, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 91. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2023, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Vickers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will continue until service time.

Mrs. Peak was born September 19, 1931, in Geneva County to the late Robert and Elsie Price Armstrong.  Melba lived her life serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a devoted member of Providence United Methodist Church, dedicated to her church and church family.

Melba loved cooking for her family, friends and church family and enjoyed taking care of everybody. Cream cheese pound cake was her specialty. She also enjoyed being outside in her flower beds and could make just about anything grow.

Melba was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her knew her.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Peak; son, Johnny Peak; two sisters, Judy Fredrick and Sue Dillard. 

She is survived by her son Jerry and his wife Barbara; her grandchildren: Amanda and her husband Ashley, Ashley and her husband Brent, and Emily. Melba is also survived by her great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved: Will, Eleanor, Avery, Maggie and Laney. She was also survived by special grandchildren, Rafael and Dora and special great grandchildren, Rafael Jr. and Jasmine. In addition, she is survived by many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
