DOTHAN. . .Michael Hart Herring, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday morning, March 5, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. He was 57.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 7, 2024, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Hugh D. Kirkland, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, near Headland. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.

            Michael Herring was born in Birmingham and was reared in Dothan where he lived most of his adult lifetime. He attended Northview High School. Michael was formerly employed as an automobile mechanic. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tristan McMasters, and his grandparents, Gerald and Vivian Wright and Jackie and Ilene Herring.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Amy Herring (Seth Warriner), Dothan; a son, Chris Herring (Silvia Ammons), Dothan; his parents, Jerry and Geraldine Wright Herring, Dothan; a sister, Dr. Laurie McCall, Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Noah Herring, Alex McQueen and Setu Warriner; a niece, Caitlin Cleckler, nephews, Matthew McCall, Jacob McCall and Connor McCall.
