Michael Lee Scheurer

Michael Lee Scheurer, age 32, known as “Red Beard” to friends, passed on January 29, 2022, in his home in Dothan, AL, after a recent Covid-19 diagnosis while fighting Pancreatic Cancer.

Michael was born on November 19, 1989, to Sherry and Jeffrey Scheurer, in Dothan, AL. Michael married Jahna Pierce on September 21, 2019, in Dothan, where they made their home and memories. One of Michael’s favorite memories was proposing to Jahna with a candy ring-pop while walking in the creek, he later married Jahna in that same creek.

Michael was a gun enthusiast and skilled competition shooter. Michael loved the antics of his two cats Gary and Theo.

Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather William David Edgar of Opp, AL, and paternal grandmother Mina Green of Watonga, OK.

Michael is survived by Jahna, his loving wife, and his parents of Dothan. He is also survived by his brothers, Jeffrey (Myra) Scheurer, II of Columbus, OH, and William David (Rita) Scheurer of Northport; maternal grandmother Sharron (Donnie) Finley of Dothan; and paternal step-grandfather Lewis Green of Watonga, OK. Michael also leaves behind the Wallace family of Ino; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be 1 – 2 PM, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside service to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Michael would be honored if in his memory his family and friends continued to live life with purpose and to fulfill their own #bucketlistchallenge.
