Mr. Michael George Lewis, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama (White Oak Shores Community) passed away Monday, October 24, 2022, at his residence with his loving wife by his side. He was 79 years old.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Eufaula, Alabama.

Michael was born January 27, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late George W. and Eleanor Welch Lewis. He was a medic in the United States Air Force and was a carpenter by trade. In his spare time, he really loved serving people by helping them anyway he could, spending as much time as possible at the beach, reading, classic rock music, and was passionately involved with Habitat for Humanity where he helped build 3 houses. He and his wife moved to the White Oak Shores Community in January of 2022 and absolutely loved their friends in the Eufaula area. Michael was of the Catholic faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Evelyn Lewis; brother, David Lewis.

Survivors include his loving wife of 2 years, Janet Pulsipher Cushman Lewis; stepchildren, Selina (Joey) Gourdon of Justin TX, Brian C. Humeland of Perrydale OR, SaraBeth Boekel of Milton FL, Jaclyn Humeland of Perrydale OR, Terry (Terje) Soberg of Norway, Steven Mclain of Washington, Denise Mclain (Pat Heiden) of Seiverville TN, Nancy (AL) Heiden of Fort Mitchell Al; brother, Richard Lewis (Connie) of Melbourne Fl; sister, Eileen White (Frank) of Tampa Fl; step-grandchildren, Cameron Gourdon, Brandon Gourdon, Riley Boekel, Missy Boekel, William Schreck, Jason Schreck, Charles Heiden, Christopher Heiden, Cassandra Heiden, Jeffrey Houldsworth, Kirsten Mclain, Josh (Jenna) Heiden;  step great grandchildren, Serenity Burns, Charity Burns, Destiny Shults, Edmond Shults, and Omara Heiden.
