Michael Wayne Danford, 63, a resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Southeast Health Hospital. He was born on November 23, 1957, at Moody Hospital  in Dothan, AL., to the late Wayne Junior Danford and Mary  Alice (Sims) Danford.

A private family graveside service will be at Mount of Olives Cemetery in Cottonwood.

Michael was a loving husband, brother, uncle, and a friend to all who knew him. He was a person whom never meet a stranger. Michael was a heavy equipment operator and was a lifetime farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Carol (Honeycutt) Danford.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Sellers) Danford, brother, Mitch (Kathy) Danford, Mark Danford, Dan Danford, and Don Danford, sisters Ginger (Will) Morris, and Denice (Lesley) Nunez along with a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
