MILDRED CASEY GULLEDGE

HEADLAND, AL… Mildred Casey Gulledge, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Monday morning, May 15, 2023, at her home. She was 93.

            Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Griggs and Reverend Nathan Poe officiating. Burial will follow in the Bell’s Crossroads Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday May 16, 2023, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            Mrs. Gulledge was born in the Bell’s Crossroads Community of Dale County, Alabama to the late J.D. Morris and Eva Enfinger Morris. She lived most of her lifetime in the Bell’s Crossroads Community until moving to Headland, Alabama in 2008. She was formerly employed by Phillips Van Heusen in Ozark, Alabama as a seamstress. In later years, was employed by White Knight Manufacturing Company of Ozark, Alabama, and then Wal-Mart in Dothan, Alabama. She is a member of the Newville Baptist Church and was a former member of Union Baptist Church in Slocomb, Alabama, Wesley Chapel Methodist Church at Bell’s Crossroads Community, and Bethlehem Baptist Church in Headland, Alabama.

            Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, George Elvin Casey; her daughter, Jo Ann Casey Gulledge; her son-in-law, Willie Earl Gulledge; her grandson-in-law, Lewis Hulett; her step-son-in-law, Danny Odom; and her sisters, Erma German and Marie McDaniel.

            Leaving to cherish her memories is her husband, Winford O’Neal Gulledge; her three half-sisters; her half-brother; her grandchildren; Phoebe Hulett and Greg Gulledge; her great-grandchildren,  Trey Hulett (Beth), Heather Price (Cameron), Casey Hulett (Annette), Conner Gulledge, and Reed Gulledge; her seven great-great-grandchildren; her four step-children, Keith Gulledge (Jane), Glen Gulledge (Carla), Ramona Odom, and Chris Gulledge (Stacey); and her several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Greg Gulledge, Reed Gulledge, Trey Hulett, Casey Hulett, Cameron Price, and Ethan Gulledge. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Royce Danford, Keith Gulledge, Glenn Gulledge, and Chris Gulledge.
