Mildred E. Wilkerson age 96 of Enterprise, AL, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 17, 2018. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.


Mrs. Wilkerson was born and raised in Tuscaloosa AL the daughter of the late Ezra Thomas Eggers and Allie Bessie (Davis) Eggers. She moved to Enterprise in 1948 where she served her family, her many friends, and her beloved First Baptist Church for the remainder of her active life.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 Years, Walter P. Wilkerson of Enterprise, a sister Mary Evelyn Hardy,Tuscaloosa, and  a brother S. Wayne Eggers Tuscaloosa.


Survivors include three children, Walt Wilkerson ( Jennifer), Enterprise, Dee Hornsby ( Larry), Montgomery, and Bob Wilkerson, Enterprise. Grandchildren, Holly Cole  ( Girod), Birmingham, Hayley Surles ( Mike), Montgomery, Sally Kruse ( Scott)  Temple,TX, Mark Wilkerson (Melissa) West Port,CT, Christy Vick ( Josh), Montgomery. Great Grandchildren, Hayes and Pierson Cole, Birmingham, Taylor Anne and Tanner Surles, Montgomery,  Mason, Brady, and Tucker Wilkerson, West Port, CT, and Anna Leigh Vick, Montgomery


A graveside service will be held on Tuesday February 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Meadowlawn Cemetery, Enterprise, AL.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for  Samaritan’s Purse, P. O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607 or  Keenagers/Seniors’ Ministry- First Baptist Church, 302 N. Main St., Enterprise, Al 36330.
