Miriam Jeanette Farris age 90, a resident of Elba, Alabama passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at her home. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, June 6, 2020 beginning at 10:00 AM with Rev. Kit Johnson and Sister Samantha Morris officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral home. Due to the ongoing concerns of the COVID-19 virus, no public visitation will be held. The family ask everyone attending the graveside to please exercise the recommended precautions including the use of face mask, and the social distancing guidelines. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorials are ask to do so to the First Baptist Church of Elba.

Mrs. Farris is survived by Son - Terry W. Farris, and Daughter-in-law - Vickie P. Farris, Elba, AL, Son - Ricky A. Farris, Elba, AL, Son - Jimmy N. Farris, and Daughter-in-law - Debbie C. Farris of Conyers, GA, along with a Sister -Joann (Hugh) Parker of Elba, Alabama. She also leaves behind grandchildren; Susan (Joey) Stephenson, Terri Ann (Joe) Stout, Carrie (Grady) Fuller, Casey (Julie) Farris, Heidi Bowers, Greg Bowers, great grandchildren; Kimberly Stephenson, Brittany Long, Cassie Stephenson, Dillan Farris, and Gage Stout, along with two great great grandchildren Riligh Stephenson, and Emma Williams.

Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Grady Augustus Farris, along with her parents, Vera and J.D. Hudson.
