Miss Bobbie Jean Pippin of Montgomery passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2014.  She was 82.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at New Home Baptist Church in Samson with Rev. Joel Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.


Miss Pippin was born in Geneva County, Ala. on January 30, 1932 to the late Salathiel S. Pippin and Cora Garrett Pippin.  She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Louie Pippin, Leon Pippin Walter Pippin, James Alford and Dick Zorn; and three sisters, Wauree Pippin Thames, Fausteen Roney and Omega Lewis.


She is survived by one brother, Kenneth Pippin of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Loucille Jones of Elba and Merle Boswell of Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
