Miss Dora J. Bowdoin of Samson passed away at Medical Center Enterprise on March 7, 2012.  She was 55.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Jones and Rev. Donald Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. 

 Dora was born in Geneva, AL on October 19, 1956 to Jeanette Phillips Bowdoin and the late Jim Tom Bowdoin. 

She is survived by her mother, Jeanette Bowdoin of Samson; two sisters, Gloria Jakob (Oliver) of Fairlee, VT and Pat Henderson (Terry) of Kinston; nephew, Chris Henderson (Jennifer) of Samson; two nieces, Melinda Mock of Atlanta, GA and Keri Moore of Kinston; two great nieces, Madison Moore and Hailey Henderson; and great nephew, Tyler Henderson.
