            MJ Locklear, Sr. of Westville, FL passed away quietly in the hands of his loving family on Friday, October 21, 2011.  He was 72.

            Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, October 24, 2011 at Reedy Assembly of God Church with Reverend Tim Harris.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday, October 23, 2011 between the hours of 6 pm and 8 pm at Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva.

            Mr. Locklear was born July 17, 1939 in Panama City, FL.  He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and tinkering with junk.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ancle Locklear; his mother, Martha Jane Locklear, two brothers, Willy Locklear and John Allen Locklear of Altuna, FL, and two children, Earl Locklear and Cindy Brackin.

            Survivors include his wife, Martha Sue Locklear from Westville, FL, four sons, MJ Locklear, Jr. and wife Shannon from Winder, GA; John Thomas (Tommy) McBryde from Westville, FL, Daniel Wayne Lindsey and wife Kay from DeFuniak Springs, FL, Cliff Brackin and wife Cindy from Crestview, FL, 1 adopted son, David Caps from Westville, FL; five daughters that he cherished dearly: Diane Richardson from Cottondale, FL, Margie Marsh and husband Marcus from Bruce, FL, Marita Lynn Reeder and husband Troy from Tallahassee, FL, Virginia Locklear from Panama City, FL, Amanda Holley and husband Jammy from New Hope, FL; followed by twenty-eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren that he loved; four brothers: Junior Locklear, Wadis Locklear, Elton Locklear and Harold Locklear: three sisters: Merleen Kirkland, Evalon Glen and Norma Jean Wood; a number of nieces and nephews and family.
