Morris Glen Griffin, a resident of Dothan, passed away on December 20, 2020. He was 93.


A private Memorial Service will be held.



Glen was born on September 6, 1927 to the late Ewell and Agnes Griffin. He served in the U.S. Navy for three years and was a WWII veteran. Glen then served 35 years in the National Guard, where he worked as a topographer. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and growing daylilies. Glen was an excellent cook, and he loved hosting fish fries for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Dorothy “Dot” Jeanette Griffin (Kersey); his brother, James Griffin; and a son-in-law, Mark Williams.


He is survived by his children, Rusty (Tommie) Griffin, Laura (Chris) Blue, and Lisa Williams; his grandchildren, Kayce (Jody) McCormick, Gina (Rusty) Pickering, Elizabeth (Bryan) Dodds, Forrest (Marcelo Sgarbi) Griffin, and John-David (Camille) Williams; and four great-grandchildren.
