   Mr. Albert Lee Padgett, a resident of Ozark and formerly of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was 80 years old.


   A celebration of life for Mr. Padgett will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 25, 2023 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.


   The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.


   Mr. Padgett was born August 20, 1943 in Holmes County, Florida. Albert loved spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports, going fishing and Alabama football.


   He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mozell and Hubert Strickland and his father and step-mother, Dero and Jewel Padgett.


   Survivors include his daughters, Malissa Gilley (Mike) of Ozark, Kim Dean (Brad) of Louisville, his sons, Michael Padgett (Sherry) of Bascom and Lee Padgett (JoAnna) of Abbeville. Eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.


   The family would like to extend a special thanks to DaySpring Hospice (Tabitha and Ashley) and to Southeast Health nurses on sixth and seventh floors.


   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to DaySpring Hospice, 100 Professional Lane, Enterprise, Alabama 36330.
