Jean Ellen Batchelor Dickie


Jean Ellen Batchelor Dickie was born June 17, 1949, one of ten siblings, to J.W. and Ruby Batchelor. She passed peacefully on February 24, 2024, after a short battle with lung cancer.


Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tom. Family, fun and travel were so important to both of them.


She leaves behind her only child, Christie (Jim); three sisters, Joyce, Glenda and Frances; two brothers, Walter and Kenny; numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who lit up her life.


A memorial service for Jean and Tom will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 15, 2024 at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama.

Thomas Richard Dickie II (CW4)


Thomas Richard Dickie II (CW4) was born April 23, 1944 in Gardner, MA. He passed away peacefully in Tallahassee, FL on Jan. 18, 2020. He was a Veteran of Vietnam and Desert Shield/Storm having received numerous medals including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.


He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jean Ellen, his daughter and son in law, Christie and Jim Mayo: as well as numerous brothers, sisters, in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
He will be cremated, per his wishes.


A memorial service for Jean and Tom will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 15, 2024 at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Alabama.
