Mr. Aron C. Gilley of Midland City passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at his home.  He was 68.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Hughvon King officiating.  Burial will follow in Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 until service time. 

Mr. Gilley was born on May 24, 1943 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Aron Clifton and Allie Gilley.  He attended Hartford Community Church. 

His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Marie Gilley of Midland City; two daughters:  Danielle Justice (Jason) of Midland City, Kimberly Snell (Bryan) of Gulfport, MS; two brothers:  Melvin Gilley (Sherry) of Dawson, GA, Randall Sykes (Bonnie) of Dothan; one sister:  Alice Nicholson (Richard) of Dothan; five grandchildren:  Allyson, Jordyn and Cason Justice, Spencer and Bryley Snell; several nieces and nephews.
