Mr. Bernard A. (Stick) Welch of Albany, GA; died Sunday, February 5, 2012, at his residence. He was 76.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeffrey Spicer officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mr. Welch was born October 25, 1935, in Houston County Alabama, the son of the late Addis Amanuel Welch and Beatrice Ivey Welch.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

 

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Welch of Albany, GA; daughters, Vicki Combs and her husband, Greg of Camillia, GA; Kathy King and her husband, Johnny of Slocomb; Volena Welch of Dothan; Christie Anderson of Dothan; sons, Michael John Welch of Florida; Richard Welch and his wife, Heather of San Diego, CA; Christopher Welch of Dothan; Brandon Welch of Albany, GA; several grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
