Billy Waymon Thomas, a resident of Headland, died Monday May 7, 2012 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 68.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday May 9, 2012 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. Steve White officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM prior to the service.

Mr. Thomas was born in Houston County, Alabama on December 15, 1943 to the late J.D. and Annie Franklin Thomas. He was an Electrician by trade and also drove as an OTR truck driver for 10 years. Mr. Thomas attended High Praise Church in Panama City, Florida.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Carol Thomas, Headland; four sons, Neil Thomas, Chad Thomas,  Brad and his wife, Laurie, all of Headland, Tim Thomas, Dothan; six grandchildren, Matt Monday, Deanna Thomas, Brandon, Colby, Payton and Anna Thomas; sister and brother in law, Barbara and Jerry Segars, Dothan.

Serving as pallbearers will be; Ronnie Faulk, Bob Hartford, Brandon Thomas, Colby Thomas, Tony Richardson and Jonathon Smith.
