Mr. Byron Donald Wright of Dothan passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at the age of 77.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Wright was born July 13, 1945 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Byron Lee Wright and Bera Farmer Wright. He was a charter member of the Dothan Bassmasters, the Tri State Coin Club, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and a member of the Charity Sunday School Class. He worked as a microbiologist at Flowers Hospital for 42 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Brenda Lane Wright, daughter Kelli Barfield (Jarrod), grandsons Griffin and Hudson Barfield, sister Jane Evans (Mark), brother-in-law Ron Lane (Dianne), sister-in-law Valerie Cooper (Ronnie) and several nieces and nephews.
