Mr. Carl Wayne Henry of Cottonwood passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the age of 76.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 – 11 A.M. Monday, June 20, 2022, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.
Wayne was born July 18, 1945 and was a lifelong resident of Cottonwood. He was involved in the agricultural industry and engaged in farming throughout his working career.
Wayne enjoyed fishing and restoring his antique John Deere tractor. He loved being surrounded by family and friends. Wayne was a loving Daddy and Grandpa. He will be greatly missed.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; Alton Henry and Bobby Lee (Cameron) Roney, daughter; Michelle Denise Henry, and step-dad; Earlie D. Peacock.
Survivors include daughter; Rebecca (Becky) McCorkel (Chris Love) of Ashford, sons; Darren Henry (Genie Henry) of Cottonwood; Curtis Henry (Joann Cherry) of Cottonwood, sister; Ann Ramsey (Chuck) of Dothan; grandchildren, Eli Henry, Katlyn McDaniel (Cameron), Chase McCorkel, and great-grandchild; David McDaniel.
Pallbearers will be Sammy Roney, Chase McCorkel, Chucky Ramsey, Don Love, Tristen Sanders, and Cameron McDaniel.
