Mr. Charles E. Rogers of Ashford passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the age of 81.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, July 26, 2021 at Wayside Baptist Church with Reverend Adam Habbard officiating. Burial will follow in Ashford City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 P.M. Monday, one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Rogers was born November 4, 1939 in Houston County, the son of the late Eldridge and Dollie Mae Knight Rodgers. He worked at Pemco for 35 years as an aircraft mechanic.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Jerry Alan Rogers and James Rogers.
Survivors include his wife Geraldine Rogers, sons Billy Rogers (Martina), Tim Rogers (Pam), daughter, Kim Eubanks (fiance Ernie), grandchildren, Gunnar Eubanks, Dozier Dillard, Kyle and Nikki Rogers, Chris and Craig Rogers, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Rogers, Ernie Sullivan, Hunter Rogers, Gunnar Eubanks, Gaige Rogers, and Eddie Burke.
A special thanks to the nurses of Encompass Hospice for their care and support.
