Mr. Charles Hubert Dorman, age 84, of Dothan, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Born February 3, 1938 in Campbellton, Florida, Charles served his country in the United States Army. He was a long time member of Grandview Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and watching Alabama football in his spare time.

Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Dorman; his wife of 62 years, Patricia Dorman; and his sister, Lois Ackerman.

He is survived by his daughters, Christi Williams (Randy) and Carla Waller (Mike); his grandchildren, Elysse Doswell (Russell), Christopher Williams, Tanner Waller, Jared Waller, Randall Williams (Brooke) and Terri Wheeler (Noel); his great-grandchildren, Luke, Jude, Alaina, Collin, Noah, Ellie, Brennan, Grayson, Layton, and Evie; lifelong friends, Camella Veazey and her daughter, Melanie Mills; his brother-in-law, Dennis Ackerman; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private service will be held for family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Grandview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2400 Forrester Road, Dothan, AL  36301.
