   Young Charles Jason “Charlie” Strickland, a resident of Panama City Beach, Florida, died Friday, July 29, 2022. He was 44 years old.

   A private memorial service will be held later in Panama City Beach, Florida. Holman Funeral Home of Ozark has been entrusted with the arrangements.

   Charlie was born December 19, 1977, in Ozark, Alabama. He graduated from Bay County High School in Panama City. Charlie loved sports while he was in school. He excelled at soccer, baseball, and football for which he received many awards. He graduated from John C. Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama with a Degree in Construction Engineering. Charlie worked as an autocad draftsman with Browns-Ferry Nuclear Plant near Decatur, Alabama. He finished his career working in the southeast at various nuclear plants.

   Charlie was preceded in death by his most special friend in the world, his mother, Marion Kelly Strickland.

   Charlie is survived by his father, Charles Hugh Strickland and stepmother, Jeanelle Woodham Strickland; three brothers, John Eric Strickland, William Kelly Strickland, and Steve Paul Strickland. He is also survived by two uncles, David Strickland, and Paul Kelly (Terry); his aunts, Joan Aia, and Rita Hilt; one niece, Jagger Strickland; one nephew, Jack Strickland; several cousins; one special friend, Pellie Llewellyn.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Chalkhead Baptist Church Youth Department, 495 County Road 35, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
