Mr. Charles Melvin Peters, a resident of Ozark, died Wednesday morning, May 19, 2021, at his home. He was 75 years old.

Funeral services for Mr. Peters will be graveside 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 21, 2021, in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with his nephew, Kendall Allen, officiating, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.   The family will receive friends following the service.  Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Peters was born September 13, 1945 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Foy Randolph Peters and Lera Inez Powell Peters. He served for three and one-half years in the United States Army including one tour in Vietnam.  Following his military service, he worked with Seaboard Coastline Railroad for over thirty years until his retirement and later with the United States Sugar Corporation.

Survivors include one daughter, Debbie Ingle (Jonathan Sebastian) of Rehobeth, Alabama; one son, David Peters (Elizabeth) of  West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Justin Ingle (Morgan), Jared Ingle (Desarae), Jase Ingle (Alyssa Brown), Zach Peters, Zane Peters and Zander Peters; great grandchildren, Greenley Ingle, Ella Jane Ingle and Georgia Kate Ingle.
